EEX3266 – Information Systems and Data Management

INTRODUCTION

       As a student at open university Sri Lanka, I was given a project to develop a system for an identified scenario (florist inventory) under the subject of EEX3266 – Information Systems and Data Management. I have selected my topic as florist inventory management.

      I also get this report as an opportunity to thank OUSL lectures who gave us instructions and guidance that was required for this project through E-learn.

           For my project I selected ASHII PLANTS shop to get the essential facts concerning their inventory. I have to be grateful to them for their maximum cooperation. This report direct for the development of the system from start to end with the relevant information.

REQUIRMENT ANALYSIS

I analysed the subsequent people as required individuals for the process.

• Florist.

• Customer.

• Vendor.

Then I designed the use case diagram for the process. Using that we are able to show how the above people are concerned withinside the process

HIGH LEVEL DESIGN

  

The classes can be classified of the system as above. The primary key for the system is as following.

• User id
• Flower id
• Type id
• Vendor id
• Customer id

And I made below assumptions when identifying and making relationships among the classes.

• Customers cannot do online orders. They order via call and florist user create the order by entering necessary data. Customers can view the catalogue. 

• Employee manages vendor details. Vendors cannot log into the system.
